$5,000 Grants Available to Women-Owned Businesses in Herkimer and Oneida Counties – Deadline to Apply:  Monday, September 30, 2024

Sponsored by The Women’s Fund of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, Baird Private Wealth Management, UpMobility Foundation and the Griffiss Institute.

(Utica, New York) The Women’s Fund of Herkimer and Oneida Counties with the support of Baird Private Wealth Management, UpMobility Foundation and the Griffiss Institute is sponsoring five $5,000 grants for a total of $25,000 to women in business in Herkimer and Oneida Counties. The businesses must be at least 51 percent women-owned and have been in existence for one year or more. The deadline for applying is Monday, September 30, 2024. The application is available here.

This is the third year in a row that The Women’s Fund Board of Directors is supporting women entrepreneurs in the area. 

“This is an important initiative for women in our community and we have seen tremendous results from past award recipients. The $5,000 grant does make a difference for their business,” commented Ellen Rainey, secretary of the WF Board of Directors and the committee chair for the grants. “We want to encourage the growth and development of women-owned businesses throughout Oneida and Herkimer.  Their success helps communities grow and prosper.”

The application deadline is Monday, September 30, 2024. There are five $5,000 grants available which will be awarded in November 2024. Funds may be used for equipment, hardware/software, consulting services, training, education and marketing.
